This is good news and the method you are using is really fair. It was just a bit unlucky to use the phrase "activation" without immediate explanation, because this word does give the impression that it is some kind of virtual dongle or interlock technology. It once happened to me that I suddenly needed to dig out an 8 year old program to do a slight modification to an old file - the program itself was out of fashion and out of distribution for many years, and there is no trace of the company that once coded it... if there would have been a "virtual dongle" then I'd be lost. I do hope that your company lasts forever, but... well times are sometimes rough, and you'll never know... This is why I strictly avoid this technology, even if it means that I need to stop using a program. I'll buy the update this week :-)
