Low-level debugging and profiling

I'm interested to hear how people using CW7 & 8 are going about the tasks of
finding memory leaks and also profiling their code. MW used to have some app
called Zone Ranger. But it doesn't support OS X, right? Was it any good/is
it worth downloading anyway for work with Classic apps? Does the new MW
debugger work just as well for low-level stuff?

What about profiling? Do most of you just use the facilities available
within CW, or are there 3rd party tools?

And how about the Windows programmers out there?

Using Malloc Debug on Mac OS X, or ZoneRanger on Mac OS 9

Using Sampler on Mac OS X, or MW Profiler on Mac OS 9

And they still do

Right

Yes

On Windows, in-house here at Metrowerks we mostly use VTune for
profiling and Bounds Checker for memory leak detection. Both of these
tools work with the x86 code generated by the MW compiler. We used to
have CATS for profiling, but the team that worked on this product is
mainly focused on the game development space now, with versions of the
framework for the PS2 and GameCube, but no further work (or sales) for
Win32 targets.
