Using MSL & BSD headers
#1022

Can MSL and BSD headers be used together? For example:

Project 1 (app)
#include <MSL MacHeadersMach-O.h>
Access Paths:
{Codewarrior}MSL/MSL C
{Codewarrior}MSL/MSL C++
{Codewarrior}Mac OS X Support
{OS X Volume}/usr/include
{OS X Volume}/usr/lib
(frameworks path)

Project 2 (static library which is included in project 1)
#include <MacHeadersMach-O.h>
Access Paths:
{OS X Volume}/usr/include
{OS X Volume}/usr/lib
{Codewarrior}Mac OS X Support

Is this a valid configuration? Or must projects be all-MSL or all BSD?

Thanks,

Wade

We don't believe that this will work. Final linking is done from
Project 1. As such, all unresolved items from project 2 (i.e. Library
calls) will be linked against the MSL library since that's what project 1
specifies.

However, you can mix MSL and BSD headers for POSIX functions, but we
don't have a list of supported functions for CW 7.
