Does anyone know if MetroWerks plans to support the C routine system() under MacOS X, and if so, when? It would be nice! From the MSL C reference: The system() function is an empty function on MacOS. - Christopher

I know a little bit about the plans... :-) The answer is no. MSL C will not provide a system() call on OS X. However, since that call is already built-in on OS X, you're more than welcome to use their implementation directly. However, to get at it, you have to be a Mach-O application, unless you want to do some freaky CFM-to-Mach-O bundle calling tricks.

It should work with the Mach-O tools as that uses the POSIX layer.
