Can anyone tell me which template to use if I want to build CGI executables
in C++ (versus Perl) for either Windows or UNIX machines?

Thanks a lot!

I've got these notes about CGI programming on the Mac, but I'm not sure
if you want it for Mac or Windows or UNIX. basically you want the
simple terminal window  for Windows.

Here is some stuff I have.

Q) Are there any Updates or Downloads to make Codewarrior Compatible for
making CGI's ???

Here is some info

 Brian Todoroff <btodorof@hmc.edu> The 'CGI++ Framework' is now
avalible from the MetroWerks Contributed Class Archive in the Misc.
Classes Archive.

A mail-gateway-CGI by John Norstad (the author of Disinfectant)
<ftp://ftp.nwu.edu/pub/jlnstuff/mailtools/mailtools-15.sea.hqx>

Other places to start looking:

Grant's CGI Framework (which I think is on the Codewarrior CD).
John O'Fallon's article in MacTech Vol 9
Ken Urquhart's article in Develop March 97
there's another article about Threaded ACGI's in a MacTech by Grant
(same one as the Framework).
WebStar's documentation (downloadable at <http://www.Starnine.com/>)
Quid Pro Quo provides some sample source code (downloadable at
<http://www.SocialEng.com>?)

From: "David Frank" <D.Frank@zutt.ch>

 have a look at

<ftp://ftp.nwu.edu/pub/jlnstuff/mailtools/mailtools-15.sea.hqx>

it's a mail-gateway-CGI by John Norstad (the author of Disinfectant)

The ReadMe says:

The "Source Code" folder contains the complete Metrowerks CodeWarrior C
source code for the gateway program, including a reusable generic CGI
shell
main program which other developers may use to develop their own
gateways if
they wish. See the "techinfo.html" file and the internal documentation in
the "cgishell.c" file for more information.

The source code from the Mail Tools gateway may be used to develop
freeware
and shareware software without charge. It may not, however, be used in
commercial software without the permission of Northwestern University.

If you've worked with PlantPlant, I've got a basic set-up that might work
you can find the source code at <http://faculty.purduenc.edu/agm/web/> (I
do know that URL). All you need to do is subclass my CCGIThread class and
put in your specific code in for one of its virtual functions and then
change a line in main.c so it should get you up and running quickly.

The 'CGI++ Framework' is now avalible from the MetroWerks Contributed
Class Archive in the Misc. Classes Archive.
   CGI++ provides all the neccessary interfacing to allow you to quickly
begin writing .cgi and .acgi applications for MacHTTP and WebSTAR. It
includes a complete Starter CGI application that will allow you to
produce
your first working .cgi in minutes. You need only change one function!

You download from MetroWerks' site at:
<http://www.metrowerks.com>
in the tool chest.
