Hello, I work for a company (two actually) that uses CW 5.3 and VSS (6.0 for Mac, 5.0 for windows) for all their codeing and version control needs. They want to possibly upgrade to CW 6.0, but didn't know if VSS would work, or if it had any bugs. If there are any major issues (other then the ones that already exist with 5.3), then it wouldn't be worth it for them to upgrade. I remember reading a while back that there were a few issues with VSS and CW 6.0, but i don't remember what they were or if they turned out to be true or not... Thanks alot... --Rob Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/

I've been using VSS With CW6 on OS 9.x for several months with no significant problems beyond the significant problems that were already present with CW5. As far as I know, VSS is completely incompatible with OS X, but that's not a function of the CW version... Jonathan Brecher CambridgeSoft Corporation myfirstinitialmylastname@camsoft. I do not know of any non pre-existing issues with CodeWarrior 6 and VSS.

I Eventually got it to "save" them, but you have to do all kinds of frigging around to get the "save" button to light up at the right time. It's too hard to explain right now, but I will do a more details report later. On my machine, this will hang the IDE *every* time. I have two projects, one an App and one a Lib. The App includes the Libs project file and the Targets are setup so that if you compile the App, it will compile the right target in the lib. This works fine. If you log onto VSS from both projects and then hit the "show dirty files" button on the project window (the red check mark button). Then it will check the files in the App ok and then try to do the same to the Lib project. At this point the whole IDE goes beswick. Certain window controls work (like you can collapse the window etc.) but the contents are not drawn (you're left with a while content section). The only way out is to restart. This worked fine under 5.3. ---Dave
