I used to be able to command-click on a URL link in comments in my source code, and have it bring it up in the browser, under Pro 5.3. Under Pro 6 it doesn't seem to work at all. I tried both command click and control-click-and-hold (as shown to me by Tim Hume to bring up a contextual menu). He had to show it to me to prove I wasn't just remembering things funny. (Command-click still works in BBEdit 4.) I'm running Pro 6 release, MacOS 9.0.4, CarbonLib 1.0.4. IIRC this is actually implemented by "Apple Data Detectors" or something like that? Any way to fix it? Rob

The release notes may say if it was changed to something else, but I think it was removed. -- Isaac Wankerl Metrowerks Mac Software Team

Any way to fix it? If you can get to contextual menus (with control-click.) then Apple Data Detectors will get you to the internet. They are at: http://www.apple.com/applescript/data_detectors/ Apple Data Detectors are an insanely great secret of the Macintosh. They are free. Check them out.
