I seem to recall hearing that CW Pro 6 would be the last version of CodeWarrior to feature 68K compilers. Does this mean that there is no point in filing bug reports against the 68K compiler, or might there be a netborne update? (I just sent in a codegen bug report.) -- James W. If CW6 going to be the last release with 68K, it would seem extra important to get those bug reports in early, while there's a decent chance to get the problems fixed. A year from now, a bug report will be against code which has started to mildew sitting on the shelf. --John -- John W. Baxter Port Ludlow, WA USA jwbnews@scandaroon.com

I don't speak in any official capacity on this point since I'm not one of the high-up-decision-makers, but... 68K codegen is part of Pro 6, so if there were to be any Pro 6 patches we release, it'd make sense for us to update 68K. Just don't expect it for Pro 7. :-) -- Josef W. Wankerl jwankerl@metrowerks.com

It can't hurt and we do have 68k embedded tools and they might get fixed or you might find out that it is something you are doing wrong. I believe we froze 68k Macintosh tools last year and this is the last year we ship them.
