Being a high school student, I feel that learning C++ is a better choice for a
slightly higher-level course in a high school. I am presently learning Pascal
in school and C++ at home, and I feel that C++ is more elegant and not
harder to learn than Pascal. I also believe that the Advanced Placement exam in
computer science is shifting from Pascal to either C or C++ within the next two
years, which may or may not be an important consideration.

At present, most of our CS class is rebelling as we seem to universally hate
the Pascal in favor of C :-)
