AppendDialogItemList strangeness...

Hello,
I am having a strange problem with AppendDialogItemList under OS
8.1. My app has a dialog that changes according to some user settings.
I use AppendDialogItemList to add the required DITL to the dialog. Under
OS 8.5 and up, it works perfectly. But when I use OS 8.1 I get an error
message when I try to run the app that it couldn't find a library called
"MacDialogsLib". I did a search in Codewarriors find library and it is
imported from DialogsLib, which I have linked in (tried both Stub and
Shared versions with same result).

According to Inside Macintosh:Dialog Manager OS 8 reference,
AppendDialogItemList should work under OS 8 when the Appearance Manager
1.0 or better is available, which it is (1.0.1 to be exact). Am I
mistaken in this assumption? Am I missing a lib or something? I am
using Codewarrior 5.3 with Univ Interfaces 3.3.2.

Thanks alot for any info you can give...
