I am planning on buying a Mac chess game soon (EXTREMELY soon, if possible) for my wife, who is trapped at home recuperating from some surgery. She doesn't know much about playing chess beyond the basics. I would like to know two things: 1) What is the best Mac chess program (not from the playing point of view, since we're not that good, but graphics/interface/able to be beaten by a novice)? 2) Do any Mac chess programs come with a built-in tutor, not merely to help with how pieces move, but to help the user learn how to play chess better? I'd appreciate any answers. Please reply; I'll summarize the replies for the net.
