One word of warning about using the Apple // version of Kermit.
I use 3.82 (though there are later versions) and now have a hard
time using other computers and terminals. Kermit will spoil you.
I'm a nts (non traditional student) who has been able to pursue a
degree ( MIS with Comp Sci minor ) despite a holding a full time
job. This is almost entirely due to Medin's kermit program running
on my //c. Writing COBOL in Ultra Macro's enhanced Appleworks in the comfort
of your own home and then transfering it certainly beats waiting in line
for a terminal and xedit.

Kudos to Ted Medin
