Mac Write II Externals

I know that the new version of Mac Write II will allow the installation
of 'externals' into the program so that you can write out files in many
formats.

My question is this: Can you use the Mac Link Translators directly.  Or
are there special ones that need to be installed.  If they can be
installed directly, is this feat possible through Res Edit?
