Think C may be a good compiler but THE EDITOR SUCKS!!! There is no
popup menu for functions, braces are not matched. there is no macros
etc. Alpha is about a 1000 times better, and emacs is even a bit
better than that. 

As for mac word prossesors try Nisus, it has a lot of programer's
features.
