Someone mentioned a probelm with the "Mouse CDEV from Hell" that would not save settings between restarts. This may sound wierd, but the only way I am able to solve this problem is to boot my Mac Plus equivalent (512E with Dove 548S :) ) with a floppy (rather than the usual hard disk) and reset the mouse speed with the Control Panel on the startup floppy. When I restart my Mac using the hard drive (a MacBottom HD84), the settings are "remembered". I think _my_ Control Panel finickiness arises from the Dove upgrade or the MacBottom. I don't know which. I hope this solution works for a Plus user ! J. Lawson johnwl@kean.ucs.mun.ca
