Finder improvements

Thought I would throw in my 2-bits, here are my suggestions/requests
for Finder improvements:

I would like to model the current directory of UN*X, i.e. see only
the current directory I am working on. Accordingly, opening a folder
would close the current folder and open the new one. This might
be accomplished by <command>-double click, for example.

Going up one directory would be similar, <command>-click in the close
box would close the current folder and open the parent folder.

Alternatively, being able to select the whole pathname would be nice.
To do this, the Finder could use a popup menu, just as standard file
does. You would <command>-click on the close box (actually a new icon
in the title bar would be better) and get a menu with the current path.
Selecting an item would open that folder and close the current. You
could even get fancy and put siblings in a sub-menu (although I admit
that this could be pretty hokey).

Of course, You would still be able to keep as many folders open as you
wanted, but could easily reduce the clutter this way.
