Global Search & Replace in MS File?

A friend of mine uses MicroSoft File to maintain a database
of names and addresses for his work at the Dutch National
Broadcast Corporation (NOS). This works fine except when
there's a change of telephone number at a large company, because
then he has to change all tel#'s for each name at that company
by hand.

What he could use is a global search & replace for MS-File, but
he nor I could find such a feat in the manual. A trick would be
to convert the database to Ascii text and then import it in
a wordprocessor to be changed and converted back into MS-File. But
this is bothersome. Does any1 know how to accomplish a global s & r
from within MS-File? Is there a DA to do the trick?

Any help is welcome!
