defaults in PageSetup

I'm stuck with a relatively small problem, and am looking for a solution.

How do I change the default papersize in pagesetup. It comes default on
US Letter, but since the rest of the world (including me) uses A4 Letter
I would like that to be the default.

Why is there no PageSetup-Setup so you can change any default to the one
you would like it to be. Even for the Mac users in the US I can imagine
there are some who would like the default to be f.i. US Legal or such.
I'd rather not have to change from US Letter to A4 Letter *every time* I
choose Page Setup!

Can anybody help ?
