I just read Julian Vrieslander's answer to the problem he posted
*after* I posted *my* answer to his problem; I had not realized that
he'd already received replies to his posting.

I blame that on the simple fact that my Usenet feed is currently 
running about a week behind; my apologies to my colleagues at
THINK for second-guessing them, and to the net for cluttering
the newsgroup with what turned out to be an un-needed response.
