Upgrading a 128k Mac

I am now the proud owner of a vintage 128k Mac and need some advice
from you Mac gurus. I hope to run one of the better Mac spreadsheets
and will obviously need to upgrade to 512k. Looking at an old issue of
Dr. Dobbs journal, it doesn't look all that difficult to do. Has
anyone tried it ? An electronics company in Boston will do it for
$170.00 but that seems a little steep considering the current prices
of ram chips.

Which spreadsheet is now considered the best (that will run on a 512k
Mac) ?

Any help would be greatly appreciated !

Craig
