My Mac (512KE) died last night with a shrinking (then disappearing) screen and a puff of smoke, prompting me to ask the following questions. - Are these the "flyback transformer" symptoms, or the "power supply" symptoms? Or is it something else? - Does anyone remember the name and address of the supplier (I think it was located in Vermont) that sold power supplies, flyback transformers and that sort of stuff at reasonable prices? Feel free to respond by e-mail, I can supply a bit more detail if it is needed. -Erik Leo (erikl@inmet.inmet.com)
