Consider the following one line shell script, which under UNIX sends a 
PostScript file to an Apple LaserWriter:

# called as: prntmap user_file
#
cat header.PS $1 footer.PS | lp -dPS

	and where header.PS contains definitions used in the user_file,
and footer.PS, some book-keeping and the "showpage" command.

How can one duplicate this on the Macintosh from the Desktop.  Everyone
I've spoken to has told me that they are sure that it can be done, but
nobody among them has ever tried to 1) concatenate files or 2) send
text to the printer OUTSIDE OF AN APPLICATION, which is clearly where
I'd like this to be.
	Could someone please give me explicit guidance on how to accomplish
what I initially expected to be a trivial task...  Response by mail,
of course, would be preferred.
