Does anyone know of a MS-Word compatible spelling checker for German?
I called Microsoft to see if they had a German dictionary available
for the built-in spell checker and was surprised to find that the
spell checker used in the international versions of Word is DIFFERENT
from the one in English language versions.

This problem may or may not be remedied in release 4. I encourage anyone
who wants this capability (spelling dictionaries for other languages) to
write to Microsoft. The person to write to is:

  Steve Albertson
  Microsoft Corporation
  16011 NE 30th Way
  Redmond, WA 98073-9717

If you represent a group of users (such as a university language department)
be sure to point that out, and indicate how many copies of foreign dictionaries
you might be interested in. Maybe if enough people write...
