As long as I'm putting in a plug for On Cue (note corrected spelling) I may as well give some more info. On Cue is a commercial INIT that allows launching of applications and documents from just about anywhere. It's Multifinder compatible and is available from: IMI Software 121 14th Street Seal Beach, CA 90740 1-800-284-4647 or 1-213-596-0399 Disclaimer: My only connection with IMI is as a satisfied user of their product.
