Dimmer by Chris Derossi (now available as part of the Microseeds Screen
Gems package), is designed to only work on a Mac ][.
When used on a SE or Plus, Dimmer does not load, so I can't think of where
your problems are occuring. Although I do recall a really early version
of Dimmer, being available on the AUSOM user group BBS in Melbourne, for a
while, some time ago.... I think just about everyone experienced some
problem or other with that particular version, perhaps it did not have the
correct checking for Mac type yet built in..?.
| I personally prefer Fade To Black
You know, I worked in television for 10 years (as a director) prior to
becoming involved with the Mac, and what Fade to Black does as far as
screen saving, could never be described as "Fading to Black" ... (cut to
black perhaps). Dimmer, as it's visual effect, is the first and only
screen saver I have seen yet that really fades to black.
Small point, but has annoyed me for years!
