I have a friend who has noted some strange icons on his Mac which neither of
us has seen before. Could someone help explain the appearance of these System
icons?

What he sees is a change in the standard Mac System file icon: the one with
the front profile of a standard Mac. After installing System 6.0.2 and then
using Font/DA Mover to install a fairly large number of public
domain/shareware fonts, a change was noted in the icon. On the Mac's screen,
rather than having a few rows of dots, there was now the appearance of a bar
chart. (That's the best way I could describe it.) The icons for all the
System files that normally have that Mac icon had changed (System, Finder,
Scrapbook, NotePad, etc.)

Anyone seen this before? How come the change?

Mail reply is fine. Thanks.
