I am running SoundMaster on a SE with 6.02 and it works fine.  I have
had problems with the sound files being too big.  Try using the
Soundwave program to resample into a smaller number (like 22k to 11k)
and see if that helps.  It only is a problem on boot up probably because
there's less memory available.
