What good is FullWrite Professional's VM472736 file?

My 1-meg Mac SE crashed the other day while I was in FullWrite
Professional (Version 1.0, under Finder 6.0 and System 4.2), with
three documents active. On rebooting I found a file named "VM472736"
in the System folder. Its type was "FWVM" and its creator was "FWRT".
Double clicking on it launched FWP, but FWP couldn't open the file.

I assume FWP opens some working file, and that this may be that file.
If it is, is there anyway to recover the session from this file?
