Are "Bus Errors" Common on a Mac II?

From time to time my Mac II crashes with a "Bus error" message (as
reported by TMON). Is this normal? I never seem to be doing anything
spectacular--just now I went to load Control Panel and it did it.
If I attempt to exit back to the finder using TMON, I get another
bus error, and TMON frequently reports that it has been damaged. I
have to reboot to recover.

I have 2Megs of 120ns memory. As fas as I can tell, the machine runs
fine accept for these periodic bus errors. Does anyone have any ideas
whether this is normal behaviour? Thanks.
