Help with Unix, Versaterm, and Termcap

I need help with getting unix (specifically emacs) to recognize my Mac's
keypad. I think this must have to do with the termcap file. I have the
file termcap and termio from the Versaterm disks in my unix account, but
i don't know how to get the system to recognize that as the right termcap
rather than /etc/termcap. I should point out that it is possible that
i am not setting up the edt-emulation in emacs correctly (M-x edt).

If someone out there knows of one of the comp.unix newsgroups that might
be more well-equipped to answer this question, please cross-post. I am
new to unix and news so i don't know all the ropes yet.

	Thanks
			jeff
