As you may have noticed, this file is double spaced.  What is the easiest
way to deal with this?  Since I keep these files archived for other people
on UNIX, I need to get rid of these extra blank lines before I make the
file available.

I've found that this works fairly well (on UNIX):

% awk 'length > 1' Filename

Does anyone else have any tips?
