I would HIGHLY suggest Managing Your Money.  It is a really well done 
Mac program (actually it started out on the PC, but that is quite 
difficult to tell).  The Accounts are easy to set up and it has a lot
of personal planning features built in (insurance, loans, accurate tax
estimates, etc).  It has special types of transactions for credit cards,
cash, and checks as well as handling transfers easily and it simplifies
complex transactions (like dividing the paycheck up into all of the
various governments, etc.) by having recurring transactions.
