The SE/30 REQUIRES System 6.0.3.  I suspect that your "downgrading" the
System version on the sever is the source of your problems.  There is
a posting on AppleLink detailing how to use and SE/30 as an AppleShare 
server.  I will get it for you and mail it to you ASAP.
