Please, tell us the whole story. How does the problem manifest itself?
I have been using DiskFit 1.5 and GateKeeper Aid 1.0 for two weeks
without noticing anything. I back up to 45MB cartridges using the
"duplicate" option of DF. Is the problem only apparent when backing up
to SmartSets?

I using a Mac II, 8MB RAM, PMMU, loads of INITs, System 6.04, MF 6.1b7.
