There should be an introductory overview, followed by sections by
manager, alphabetically.

Yes, it is a reference manual. It should describe the entry points in
assembler, Pascal and C (but it should be practical to do this in a
generic fashion rather than requiring three whole articles for each
routine). But a little tutorial intro would not hurt at all. I think
Inside Macintosh vol I was just the right blend.

And I'd like to see a supported sample demo available in source form as
a companion. TeachText sources in C and Pascal !!!! What better way to
get applications developers to follow the interface guidelines than to
give them working code and encourage them to copy it !!!
