Recovery of Mac floppies

Greetings to all,

I have a couple of problems with some floppies. They were brought to me by
a student here but they are unreadable. I can see the information on the disk
with MacTools but Disk First Aid refuses to read it. I don't know enough
about the sector/tag/other bits to be able to rebuild it manually so here
is the question.

1) Is there a utility somewhere out there that will recover disks which are
"Unreadable- Do you wish to initialize it?"

or

2) Can someone supply enough information for me to be able to rebuild the disk
   by hand.

Please respond with direct E-mail... any help greatly appreciated.

Mark
