Anyone else have trouble with Stevie/MultiFinder?

Has anyone succeeded in using STeVIe under multifinder? My machine
always crashes, although I've got lots of inits and things running.
If anyone's got it working, I'd like to know, and I`ll go ahead and
try to isolate my problem.

Stevie perpetrated a strange error last I tried it -- when I pulled down
the control panel from within stevie, ma Mac crashed, and when I
rebooted my Control Panel had been corupted so it was only half as
wide as it should have been; I had to use the Font/DA Mover to install
a new version of the Control Panel DA.

Any tips, etc, would be appreciated. The "Edit" editor is making my life
uncomfortable.
