Hi everyone,

I am in major need of some help/advice. Today, I recieved my Power Mac
Geoport Modem, much to my delight. I installed it and after half an hour
of happily fiddling around with MegaPhone etc I realised it wasn't
working. As far as I could tell the geoport wasn't responding. Intending
to log on to the internet to ask for advice, I plugged my old modem in,
but it too was not responding. It seems that now my modem port on the back
of my computer is not working.

So, here I am on the old modem going through the printer port desperately
asking for help. Before I take my 7200/90 back to get it repaired, I was
hoping someone ou there would know how to fix the problem. As far as I can
tell the computer says the modem port won't respond perhaps due to another
device being connected. This seems to me that the modem port or perhaps
the port drivers think that it is disposed somehow.

Normally, I would say that I busted the port when plugging the Geoport in,
but I used the Geoport for at least half an hour before it stopped
working, and I didn't touch anything but the mouse and keyboard in that
time.

I am of course extremely annoyed at all this, and having tried everything
I could think of (and i'm usually very good at fixing problems like this
for other people) for a good couple of hours, I am in extreme need of some
genius out there who is willing to come to my aid.

HELP!!!!!
