I have a Sportster 14.4 and I can hardly ever connect to my Internet
account. I usually dial in with the terminal emulator, using "ATDT", etc.
The funny thing is that dialing straight out with the terminal emulator
works fine, but using the init string "ATZ" *doesn't*. It seems like
MacPPP has a bug with Sportster modems.

Do you mean you're having fax problems too? I *hardly ever* can receive
faxes with my Sportster 14.4!
