In the case of AppleShare volume icons, these are obtained over the net by a call to AFPGetSrvrInfo (Inside AppleTalk page 13-95), in the case of hard disks the icon is obtained by a driver control call (Mac Technote #28). The icons may not be stored as ICON resources, which may be why they prove hard to find. But, in any case, these icons are not stored as part of the Finder. --- Gavin Eadie, Associate Director/Software Engineer The University of Michigan Computing Center 535 West William Street, Ann Arbor, Michigan 48109-4943 (313) 936-0816
