Back in January (I think) I got my uncashed check back, with no
explanation. Another prospective-and-paid-up purchaser got his back,
also, and (after speaking with Tad) learned that Tad had decided to
abandon the project... again, citing overwork/midterms/finals.

The street-prices on PMMUs has come down quite a bit since the
group-purchase was first proposed... you can probably get one for less
than $170 from one of the chip-vendors who advertise in the back pages
of MacWeek.
