I don't know who is to blame in this situation.

I ordered a styleWriter from Apple dealer TWO MONTHS ago.
The salesman told me if I ordered it through the educational discount plan,
I had to wait 4 to 6 weeks. But if I paid the ordinary price, I can get it
immediately. Since the diference between these two prices are about $80, I
decided to wait.

Now I am still waiting.

I have been waiting for 8 weeks.

I don't know who is to blame, the dealer? the university store? or Apple Inc?

I am an educational people; I should have patience. Maybe Apple Inc haven't
received the parts from Japan yet.

"Educational people have to wait longer."

Now why would they discontinue something that is so popular it's
backordered? No the problem is that Apple cannot get the parts from
Cannon fast enough to meet demand. Instead they have TEMPORARILY
removed them from their price lists that have time obligations behind
them. Chances are you can actually find them in one of the retail
outlets that carries the Performas.
