Hello,
Can anuyone who has Disk Doubler please tell me if a folder is mark for
compression, will it re compressed automatically when the file is closed.
What I would like to do is compress folders and files without running an
init. If Disk Doubler is running can it compress files that are closed.
My understanding is Disk Doubler is a manual form of AutoDoubler.
Thanks in Advance.

I use disk doubler pretty often, but haven't any experience with AutoDoubler. Disk doubler has a program, and an init. On start-up the init causes a new menu to be made on the screen called "DD". You can select a file or folder, go to the DD menu and select compress, or expand. The program can be launched as-per-usual by double-clicking it. Then you select compress or expand, and search for the file or folder you want to do it to. If you click on a compressed file, the program automatically expands it and (if you want) will launch the program which uses the file. That's how I use it, it works quite well. I've never had any problems. (Note: I'm still on System 6). Greg Alexander
