My organization, Academic Technologies, is looking for someone to fill my position as manager of the Kresge Digital Media Studio after I leave at the end of August. This is a full time, exempt position. The KDMS is a one year old, 18 seat Macintosh (8600/200s) lab built to host classes for the Schools of Speech, Music, and Journalism. This is a new, high profile facility that needs to work properly all the time, so I would really like to fill this position with someone who is already familiar with the standard university Macintosh lab management tools--primarily RevRdist and Keyserver--and is a strong proponent of the Mac. This is a great lab. All the machines have MIDI keyboards attached to them, the Macs are connected via 100 megabit ethernet to a Unix AppleshareIP server that never crashes, and we have all the software you could hope for. You can see lists of the KDMS hardware and software at the URLs below. <http://database.at.nwu.edu/public/Hardware/LabHardware.cfm?LocationID=2> <http://database.at.nwu.edu/public/Software/LabSoftware.cfm?LocationID=2> Information Technologies at Northwestern is a good place to work. The University realizes the importance of IT, so we are well funded, respected, and not paid too badly either. The campus is beautiful, the summer weather is close to perfect, the faculty, staff, and students are talented and intelligent, and my boss is great. This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone who loves the Mac and wants to work in a University environment. Email me if you are interested or have any questions. -- Nate Bradley nate@nwu.edu
