Hope someone can help me out here.

Im posting this on behalf of a friend of mine who is wanting to get
online.

She got a temporary callup number from BT in order to go to the BT
internet site to choose a package to sign up to.

She has no problem connecting but as soon as she tries to go to a
website (any website) she gets an error message saying that the server
cannot be found.

This happens with both Navigator and Explorer.

Of course BT know nothin about Macs and are no help whatsoever.

Has anyone any idea whats going wrong here? any comments greatly
appreciated.

a reply by Email (not@ached.fsnet.co.uk) would be especially appreciated
(dont think I'd ever be able to find this posting a second time)

Thanks very much in advance
