Has anyone heard of a DTC MICROFILE before? I aquired one from my school
when they where cleaning a room out. It has 2 8 inch disk drives, buttons
that say "Transparent" and another one that says "Control Display" , and yet
another that says "Format Enable". There is 2 RS232's in the back. I
plugged a dumb terminal to the back and when the system turns on it says
"DTC MicroFile" then gives a * prompt (if I remember correctly). I opened
the case, and inside are memory boards, and a CPU CARD. IS THIS A COMPUTER?
Or just a smart disk drive? My dad says they used to have something similar
in the computer center at Bank of America where he used to work. He said
they hooked between the mainframes or something like that (he isnt the most
technical person!).
