Hi everyone, Do you remember the Sinclair ZX81 ? The second micro from Sir Clive ? Well I got hold of one last week for fun (it was my first micro 10 years ago..) and in one evening I replaced the 1KB RAM chip for a 32KB one. I plan to make an EPROM programmer board soon. Why use such an outdated machine ? Because it's so easy to add hardware, and so easy to program! Besides, I'm still amazed they managed to squeeze a BASIC interpreter into 8KB... Anyway, I'd be interested if anyone else out there is still using one, and if not, whether they have any old circuit descriptions, machine code programs or books. Here's your chance to get rid of that old stuff! I've got the ZX81 manual and one or two other books. I think I'll add an RS232 interface to save programs to my PC... Please let me know if you share the same interest... or do I have the oldest micro hardware around ? These computers might be worth something one day, you know :-) . Cheers, Marvin.
