The 14th Annual Pacific Coast Computer Fair and Swap Meet will take place on
Saturday, October 16th, from 10am to 4pm.

As in previous years, the Fair will consist of a swap meet section with tons
(literally) of new and used computer hardware and software, a section of
displays by local computer user groups, and a speakers programme covering
a variety of personal computing topics.

Vendor tables in the swap meet section are currently available. The cost is
$40 per table prior to October 1st and $50 thereafter. Call 420-3286 to rent.

If you represent a computer user group that has not already been contacted and
would like to take part, please reply by email. Tables are provided at no
charge to user groups on the condition that they be used in a non-commercial
manner. If you have merchandise to sell, see the previous paragraph.

The Fair is run by the Pacific Coast Computer Fair Association, a non-profit
society of volunteers drawn from the local personal computing community.
If you would like to help out with this year's Fair or future events, or would
like further information, please reply by email.

Table rentals: Call 420-3286

Some kindly individuals have pointed out that there was a major omission in
my previous posting regarding the Pacific Coast Computer Fair: its location!

I've reproduced the original posting below, with location information added.

Someone also asked about the area code for the table rental number. The full
number is 604-420-3286. I limited distribution to BC so the area code should
not be necessary. Of course, you can never be too sure where a message will
end up on the Internet... Hopefully, this is not like one of those
"Concert tickets for sale" postings distributed around the world.

==== BEGIN PACIFIC COAST COMPUTER FAIR ANNOUNCEMENT, VERSION 1.1 ====

The 14th Annual Pacific Coast Computer Fair and Swap Meet will take place on
Saturday, October 16th, from 10am to 4pm.

The Fair will be held in the McPherson Centre at 7325 MacPherson (yes, I know
the two spellings are inconsistent, but that's the way it is), near Metrotown
in Burnaby. It is south of Kingsway and east of Royal Oak. MacPherson runs
parallel to Royal Oak. (See our ads in the Sept. or Oct. Computer Paper for a
map. If there is enough demand, I'll try to make up a map in ASCII and post it)

As in previous years, the Fair will consist of a swap meet section with tons
(literally) of new and used computer hardware and software, a section of
displays by local computer user groups, and a speakers programme covering
a variety of personal computing topics.

Vendor tables in the swap meet section are currently available. The cost is

==== END OF ANNOUNCEMENT ====

I hope I got all the details this time. If not I'm sure somebody will let me
know!

(Actually, it was intentional. I left out the location to see if anybody
actually read the message. Yeah, that's it. It was all part of my plan, yeah.)
