I'd like to hear views and experiences from C programmers on the use of Gimpel's PC-Lint, or any other lint for MS-DOS. Does it provide a significant improvement in error/type checking over the checking built into Turbo C++ 3.0 ( in C mode) ? Please e-mail, and I will summarise to this newsgroup. I too would like to hear about this... Can anyone provide a list of errors that are checked for by PC-lint? Also: Is there an e-mail address where this company can be contacted?

| I too would like to hear about this...

They are too numerous to mention here. According to my
PC-Lint manual, there are 950 different error messages that
you can encounter. If you're *really* interested, I could
probably Xerox those pages of the manual and snail mail them
to you. You may also be able to get this info from Gimpel
Software.

No - I just called them and asked. You can, however,
contact Gimpel Software (the makers of PC-Lint) at the
following address and phone number:
Gimpel Software
3207 Hogarth Lane
Collegeville, PA 19426
