As far as price point, all technologically advanced products are introduced at a high price point and then reduced as even more technologically advanced products come to the market. I believe my personal reservation price is fairly high, but that does not mean a sufficient portion of the market will support a high cost product. Time is the answer. Much of corporate America held out on client-server until the networking packages, workstations, routers, etc. came to support the mass markets. For those of us in high-tech, we saw client server used extensively eight years before the masses. Why? Because we were willing to deal with the immaturity of the product. In the case of a palmtop (or PDA, if you prefer), I am not willing to deal with headaches associated with the immaturity. I do, however, anxiously await the next products just over the horizon.
